This 5.5-acre site is located in an environmentally protected mangrove area bordering the Oleta River National Park. The program includes a multi-use 2,000-seat sanctuary, auditorium and social hall, an administration building, and various support facilities such as a pool, courtyards, and playgrounds. Jerusalem stone, precast concrete, and patina copper standing seams were used for the Ark, sloped roof sections, and the dome. Sculptures, weavings, paintings, stained glass, and mosaics were also chosen to create an atmosphere of warmth and stimulation within the synagogue.
We recently completed an Interior Renovation of the Sanctuary designed to accommodate different occupancies going from 400, 600, and 900 Congregants by subdividing the space with movable acoustical panels.
